I like that the guy is NOT towing the company line of "only possible". I totally agree that it would be a different game on other platforms.
@Gwave: Actually, Nintendo had this "only possible" thing in the bag with Wii. But I don't think they can say it anymore since MS and Sony have tried to emulate their success with motion.

Too many misunderstandings. It's starting to sound like a badly kept secret.

And they didn't, which most of their PC fans (me included) hated. In the end it was ably ported by Demiurge. I hope that's not ME2's fate; to be ported by outside devs.
It's probably less risky to announce it while interest is peak, it's in the budget, and marketing is full speed. I guess the greed surrounding DLC pretty much kills the idea of it. DLC has become just another means of up-selling to those guys.
I don't trust anyone with DLC. Bethesda maybe. Content-wise, they've handled DLC the way it ought to be after that horse armor thing. Arguably my favorite devs Bioware can't be trusted. And they've been on PC doing expansions for years so ...

@Sarcasm: Researching =/= slave to opinions. Getting a friend's opinion is no different from reading a review or chasing scores. And it shouldn't need to be said, but high scores don't necessitate an automatic orgasm. Not in my case at least.

Zero interest in Brütal Legend. Some interest in Uncharted 2, but I'll probably wait and see how my friend likes it.
This old Bioware fan has been hyped since it was announced. I think the only thing I don't like is having to learn a new setting. It's a personal bias.
I would have rather they stuck with D&D because I already know the workings. And once you've read a hundred or so fantasy concepts, you've pretty much read them all. The youngest race of humans has great potential, elves are the wise old race at one with nature, dwarves like rocks and gems, gnomes invent stuff...blah blah bla...
I think gamers kind of need to stop expecting Oblivion in every RPG. Games of that size and scope are the exception to the rule, not the standard. That's why Bethesda are about the only guys making them like that. Most others who try (like the makers of Two Worlds) are frankly out of their depth.
Having played everything Bioware's ever made by this point, I'd hardly say it's among their worst. And even Bioware's worst is like a normal game's "average".
Console gamers like Bioware because of KOTOR mostly and JE. Plain and simple. Although Bioware had a few RPGs on console before then, none of them were paid much attention to at all. Primarily because they were terrible ports of awesome, but PC-centric games. Of course people want them now because Bioware is actually focused on (or arguably leading with) console versions.
Demon's Souls is not a WRPG...
RROD won't hurt the next Xbox. It barely hurt 360.
It looks better than the first MC by the barest margin. They fixed the lengthy combat scenarios, but that still only makes the game playable. All they really did was bump it up from "less than average" to "mediocre at best".

That is factually true. But I think it's a bit of a missed opportunity that the game does nothing to distinguish itself from the flood of JRPGs. It is in essence a JRPG made by Korean devs.
It won GOTY from GDC and also got the IAA for RPGOTY. And lots of others from various publications in gaming press. Basically, they can call it a GOTY accurately.
It's a bit more than a create-a-character. It's also a jump off for Bioware's social network where you can browse wikis, blogs, forums, picture albums, etc related to Bioware games! You can also upload your character sheet and portrait to that site. I believe it also grants a free in-game item.
Frankly, I can't be bothered with social network stuff, but most other people aren't me.
I wish console people would make up their minds about PC gaming. Is it the sport of rich men or does everyone have a PC in their home capable of playing today's games? Can't have both. So why do I hear both when it suits a particular argument?
